These Terms of Use apply to your use of masterdutch.com (the Website) and to the Dutch lessons and related services offered through it (the Services). By using the Website or booking a Service you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

2. Our Services

Master Dutch offers online Dutch lessons in several formats: group classes (a fixed multi-week course with a small group), one-on-one lessons, weekly conversation classes, one-off special events and, where offered, an all-in-one subscription. The description of each Service, including its level, schedule, duration and price, is shown on the Website at the time of booking.

3. Booking, prices and payment

  • A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and you have received a confirmation email.
  • All prices are shown in euros. Prices include or exclude VAT as stated at checkout [CONFIRM VAT TREATMENT].
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
  • Group classes are sold as a full course. Places are limited, so a class may fill up or be cancelled or rescheduled by us if too few students sign up. If we cancel a course, you will be offered a place in another course or a full refund.

4. Lesson packages

One-on-one lessons can be bought as a single hour or as a package of hours. Packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Hours that have not been used by the end of this period expire.

5. Rescheduling and missed classes

  • You can reschedule a one-on-one lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. A lesson cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours notice may count as a used lesson.
  • If you miss a group class, you will receive the materials and a short recap so you can catch up. Group classes are not refunded for individual missed sessions.
  • If a group course turns out not to match your level, you can switch to another group free of charge within the first two weeks, subject to availability.

6. Subscriptions

Where a subscription is offered, it renews each month at the price shown until you cancel or pause it. You can cancel or pause at any time; the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further payments will be taken after that. Subscriptions do not include one-on-one lessons or group courses unless stated.

7. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For services, this right may lapse once the service has been fully performed, and if you ask us to start the Service within the withdrawal period you may be asked to pay for the part already delivered. 8. Recordings and materials

Live classes may be recorded and made available to enrolled students. Cameras and microphones are optional. Recordings, PDFs, quizzes and other materials are for your personal, non-commercial learning only. You may not copy, share, publish or resell them without our written permission. All rights in the materials remain with Master Dutch.

9. Conduct in classes

Please treat your teacher and fellow students with respect. We may remove a participant who disrupts a class or behaves inappropriately, without refund for the remaining sessions.

10. Use of the Website

You agree not to misuse the Website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it in a way that could damage or overload it. We do our best to keep the Website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be free of errors or interruptions.

11. Liability

We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. We cannot guarantee a specific learning result, as progress depends on your own effort and practice. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability for a Service is limited to the amount you paid for it [REVIEW WITH LEGAL ADVISER].

12. Changes

We may update these terms and the Services from time to time. The version published on the Website on the day you book applies to your booking. Changes take effect for later bookings from the date shown above.

13. Governing law and complaints
